OTTAWA, CANADA – In Canada’s capital, the spirit of Christmas is definitely in the air.

The annual Christmas Lights Across Canada ceremony kicked off the festivities at Parliament Hill. The cold weather didn’t stop thousands of people attending, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family.

There were Christmas carols and a sound and light show.

Meanwhile, at the annual Pasko ng Bayan, kababayans got a little taste of home.

Pasko ng Bayan is an annual event that is open to the public and is free. It is spearheaded by the Philippine embassy, in partnership with the Filipino community in Ottawa.
