SACRAMENTO – Caregivers and their advocates packed California’s state capitol to witness the latest victory in the state’s Domestic Workers Bill of Rights.
The assembly labor committee passed senate bill 1015, 5-2.
SB 1015 would ensures workers proper overtime and breaks, regardless of immigration status.
The bill was originally enacted in 2015 as part of a two-year trial period that will end on January 1st, 2017.
