MANILA – Vice President Jejomar Binay is confident he will repeat his 2010 victory over Liberal Party presidential bet Mar Roxas in the 2016 elections.
In the oath taking ceremony for new members of the United Nationalist Alliance Wednesday, Binay told supporters not to worry about his fluctuating preference ratings in the latest presidential surveys.
He described the survey as the one where he placed third to an “American girl”, in an alleged swipe against survey frontrunner Senator Grace Poe.
The Vice President said he received a lot of support from fellow Ilocanos from Northern Luzon and generally won in Central Luzon in 2010.
Binay is also confident he will dominate the Southern Tagalog region, specifically his father’s hometown of Batangas.
He said Roxas will not win in the Visayas region because of the administration’s failed efforts to help victims of Typhoon Yolanda.
