NEW JERSEY — Every year, hundreds of young Fil-Ams gather to showcase their talent in singing, dancing and acting in one of the most awaited talent showdown in the East Coast: the “Battle of the Barrios.”
This year, the stories these young minds created surround really important issues that really matter to them.
Fil-Am college students from New York and New Jersey sing, dance and act in a ten-minute skit to tell stories that matter most to them — from same-sex marriage to extrajudicial killings and human rights abuses such as the slaying of journalists.
