PHOENIX, AZ – Esmeralda Canidate has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of money laundering. Besides money laundering, she was earlier arrested for allegedly keeping a house of prostitution at the C&C Salon and Day Spa.
The prostitution charges against her have been dismissed.
As part of her plea agreement, she has been placed on a two-year probation and 50 hours of community service.
Her clients at the C&C Salon and Day Spa defended Canidate’s character.
“I couldn’t believe the news about her. She’s a good person, very honest, very generous. I never had any problems with her,” said Maria Bondaryev.
Another client, Raisa Ferrer added, “I feel bad that this happened to her. But at the same time, she’s a strong person and she will get over it.”
