The movie never ends, it just goes on and on and on and on. For Journey frontman Arnel Pineda, fresh from his solo shows in Vancouver, Chicago and New York, Pineda held a meet and greet in Southern California, with supporters coming to him with open arms.
“It’s very exciting kasi I will get to introduce a couple or 3 of my original songs, as well as these classic 6 songs that I’ve sang for ages, and that’s my fans know me for sure. I’ll reintroduce those songs to them,” said Pineda.
Pineda is currently on tour promoting his new solo album, hitting Dallas, San Francisco, three stops in Canada, Los Angeles, and Hawaii.
“This album is for Pinoy for my kababayan, ma so parang conceptualized to please my kababayans.”
2017 is a milestone year for the former street kid from Tondo, who celebrated his 50th birthday last September.
December marks the 10-year anniversary of when the iconic band announced him as their new lead singer.
“I’m not sure how to feel but definitely I’m very grateful, and very thankful for all the blessings that has come over the past 50 years and over the past 10 years with the band.”
He’s also hitting the road for a cause. Proceeds from some of his solo shows will be going to different organizations.
