SAN FRANCISCO – For the last stop of his four-day visit to the United States, Philippine President Benigno Aquino III arrived at the San Francisco International Airport via chartered flight at 10:10 am Wednesday morning.

He previously visited Boston and New York, where he spoke before world leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Summit Plenary 2014.

In San Francisco, hours before his flight to the Philippines, President Aquino had two business meetings. He first met with Gary Loveman, chairman, CEO and president of Caesar’s Entertainment Corporation and Steven Tight, president of International Development at the Westin San Francisco Airport.

His second meeting was with John Stumpf, chairman, president and CEP and John Shrewberry, senior executive vice-president and CFO of Wells Fargo Bank along Montgomery Street in San Francisco.

Outside the Well Fargo Bank, dozens of Filipino-American protesters from BAYAN USA, Anakbayan, Gabriela and NAFCON gathered to send Aquino a message: “Do more for the Filipinos”.

They slammed Aquino for prioritizing his meetings with big businesses, instead of taking the time to hear the concerns of the Filipino-American community.

Aquino arrives in the Philippines on Thursday night.
