REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – In a highly anticipated media event Tuesday, Apple unveiled two new iPhones that will soon be available to the public.
CEO Tim Cook addressed the crowd at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. to explain the new products.
The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6+ feature an aluminum body and glass front on the edges.
Major improvements include a screen size increase to 4.7 inches and over 1.7 million pixels on the iPhone 6, while the iPhone 6+ has a 5.5 inch screen with over 2 million pixels.
Both phones feature an enhanced camera that includes image-stabilization.
With a two-year contract, the iPhone 6 starts at $199 dollars and the iPhone 6+ at $299 for 16 gigabytes.
The iPhones will be available on Sept. 19, with pre-orders starting on Sept. 12.
