REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton returns to the US after a successful mixed martial arts debut in the under card debut of ONE FC Rise of Heroes earlier this month at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.

Julaton, a 33-year-old from San Francisco, scored a third round stoppage over her Egyptian foe Aya Saeid.

Julaton clinched the win after gaining a full mount and pummeling Saeid with strong blows. The referee ended up stopping the fight with 59 seconds remaining in the third round.

Prior to her MMA win, Julaton was an accomplished boxer. She was the first woman to win the Women’s WBO Super Bantamweight and IBA Super Bantamweight titles.

Julaton told Balitang America in a live studio interview that despite her boxing accomplishments, her first love is martial arts.

“I got into boxing because of martial arts,” she said. “So it’s nice to be able to have the opportunity to fight for One FC, do MMA, and have the win and live my dream basically.”
