Latest buzz over a Fourth of July Ancestry advertisement, featuring the descendants of the signers of the US Declaration of Independence — including a Filipina.

Last Thursday, ancestry.com published an ad recreating the 1776 painting, ‘The Declaration of Independence,’ featuring the signers’ descendants.
One of those featured is Andrea Livingston, who is half Filipino, and the eighth great granddaughter of Philip Livingston, one of the 56 men who signed the Declaration. In an interview with CBS News, Livingston said “It’s a point of pride, but I think we have a long way to go.”
