“Almost Paradise,” first American TV series set entirely in the Philippines, premieres on WGN

Filipino-American producer and filmmaker Dean Devlin shares what it means to him to produce “Almost Paradise,” a new series showcasing the Philippines.

“I think that the talent that we have brought together on the show, the environment, the culture is going to be incredibly fresh, America has never seen anything like this and that’s why I can’t wait for them to see the show.

As a Filipino American filmmaker I’ve never really had a chance to explore that.”

The show airs Monday nights on WGN.

Produced by Devlin’s Electric Entertainment, “Almost Paradise” is also ABS-CBN’s first entry into line-producing in Hollywood.
