ALA Boxing hopes to finalize Jonas Sultan vs. Jerwin Ancajas fight

A Pinoy vs. Pinoy world title fight in a big US city can, and just might, happen.

ALA Boxing Promotions’ Michael Aldeguer says that negotiations for a world title fight between ALA fighter Jonas Sultan, and IBF world champion Jerwin Ancajas, are continuing.

The IBF has named Sultan the mandatory challenger to Ancajas.

Ancajas, who is co-promoted by Manny Pacquiao and Top Rank recently scored an impressive knockout win in his US debut.

ALA and Top Rank have been eyeing Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, as possible destinations for this possible fight.

Aldeguer is in Los Angeles for the Superfly 2 Card, featuring Donnie Nietes.

“We hope to get it done this week. I’ll be sitting down with Sean Gibbons, and we’ll be discussing the details but definitely, the fights going to be happening,” said Aldeguer. “It’s the first time in 92 years so this is going to be a historical fight against two Filipinos. It’s tough to make it happen but if mandated by the IBF. It’s also something we can be proud of — that two Filipinos fighting on the world stage is something that everybody should be proud of.”

No win, win fight for Ancajas against unknown Filipino boxer. He got paid from Bob Arum for $95K,winning against a Mexican boxer. The entire North American (Latino viewers watch the fight thru Tele Mundo TV and made a lot of money. Pinoy vs Pinoy in the US to PH, not economically feasible. Ancajas rate is already $ 95K per fight, then go down to maybe $30K, Ancajas should rather fight any Hispanic boxer. The CRAB Filipino mentality culture comes again into play. ‘If you put the crabs inside an empty bucket, the crab will try to escape by climbing the top of the bucket. Once the crab reaches the top fellow crab will bring him down, so that everybody will be the same.’ Ancajas is being projected as as the next Manny Pacquiao, future billionaire, Filipino promoters, extreme media, journalist, envy him so much they are beginning to bring him down. This is a common Filipino culture CRAB MENTALITY..Why both good boxer destroy each other, there is no honor to gain.
