Activists lead anti-China presence, anti-Duterte protest in New York

NEW YORK — 3 years after the Philippines claimed victory and ownership over the West Philippines Sea, thanks to the permanent court arbitration in the Hague, Filipinos in the East Coast are back on the streets still protesting what they call: China’s intrusion over Philippine sovereign waters.

While the Philippines has exclusive sovereign rights over the West Philippines Sea, Loida Nicolas Lewis of U.S. Pinoys for Good Governance says that the current Philippine government failed to take a stand for the Philippine sovereignty.
