Henni Espinosa

Henni Espinosa is the acting executive producer of Balitang America, where she also serves as substitute anchor and senior reporter. In 2013, Henni took home an Emmy Award as the host, executive producer and writer for “The Filipino Champions of SOMA”, under the “Public/Current/Community Affairs-Program/Special” category. Henni also bagged a Telly Award and a New York Festivals nomination for the same documentary.

For her contributions to the field of broadcast journalism, Henni was recognized by the California Senate in 2008 and Assembly in 2011. She was also chosen as one of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the U.S. by the Filipina Women’s Network in 2011.

In 2014, the City of Bacolod, where Henni is from, passed a resolution in honor of her achievements. She is the eldest child of Henry and Ninfa Espinosa. She belongs to the Class of 1994 of St. Scholastica’s Academy-Bacolod, Class of 1999 of the University of the Philippines-Diliman and Class of 2003 of Georgia State University’s Graduate Program.
