A month after reopening, Nevada imposes new restrictions to contain coronavirus spread

LAS VEGAS — A month after Las Vegas reopened its economy, Nevada’s governor ordered bars and restaurants to return to Phase 1, as COVID-19 cases in the Silver State are on the rise.

Restaurants can remain with no groups larger than 6 people at a time per table.

As of Friday, July 10, health officials have reported more than 25,000 cases of coronavirus in Nevada — with at least 574 deaths.

With the statewide mass order, some visitors are finding the whole Las Vegas experience quite different from before.

Nevada joins at least 22 states with some sort of mask requirement and these visitors said if wearing facial coverings is the new norm, they will just have to get used to it while enjoying the sights and sounds of Las Vegas.
