REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – As many as 1,500 Bay Area commuters may have been exposed to measles after an infected San Mateo County resident rode BART from the town of Millbrae into San Francisco’s Civic Center station last Friday afternoon.
It’s the fourth measles case in San Mateo County since a statewide outbreak began at Disneyland in December.
So far in 2015, 154 measles cases have been reported across 17 states — 133 of them are linked to Disneyland.
Doctors have not indicated yet if the case in San Mateo is among the Disney-linked cases.
