11 Filipinos among Forbes list of billionaires

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The Forbes list of the world’s billionaires is out and 11 of the tycoons named are Filipino.

Still on top as the Philippines’ richest man is SM group’s Henry Sy who is worth $14.2 billion.

Next is JG Summit Holdings founder John Gokongwei Jr. whose net worth is $5.8 billion.

Megaworld’s Andrew Tan was also named for his net worth of $4.8 billion. Tan is also behind Resorts World Manila and Emperador Distillers.

The title of World’s Richest Man still belongs to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates who is currently worth close to $80 billion.

    They’re not really Filipinos if you really look at it…Sy, Gokongwei, Tan? One of those guys probably own one of the Kalayaan Reefs?
